No matter your orientation, sex should be fun, pleasurable and most importantly SAFE. I know we all wish it was like the movies. You lock eyes from across the room, the passion is so intense and the night ends with sex so amazing that Shonda Rhimes could not have written it better herself #SCANDAL.

Thankfully we don't need a production team to make sex great. Here are the 3 Keys to Earth Shattering Great Sex:

1) Communication

The best Sex comes from communicating your wants, desires and limits. Unfortunately most of us are not mind readers and as much as we would love to pleasure our partners by instinct alone, its difficult without a little help. According to an article from the Journal of Sexual Medicine "Past research indicates that sexual self‐disclosure, or the degree to which an individual is open with his or her partner about sexual preferences, is a key aspect of sexual satisfaction and that partner's lack of knowledge about one's sexual preferences is associated with persistent sexual dysfunction."

2) Know Your Body

Masturbation not only increases blood flow throughout your body it also stimulates the release of chemicals called endorphins. These feel good chemicals relieve stress and improve your mood. “It puts you in touch with your desires and gives you the chance to get to know your own body,” says sexuality educator Yvonne K. Fulbright, PhD. “Experimenting with what feels good and makes you respond positively can lead to better sexual experiences, both alone and with a partner.”

3) Be Safe

Condoms are a great way to protect yourself during sex, but don't forget the Dental dam...

When used correctly dental dam protects against infection by viruses and bacteria like gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, HPV and syphilis. Without the use of a protective barrier any of these infections can be spread through cunnilingus and/ or oral- anal contact.
